The resort sits in the Sonoran Desert. The design team wanted the interior to feel like it had grown there.
We matched the palette directly to stone samples from the surrounding landscape. The geometric forms — rhombus, triangle, alchemical sun — came from the cultural history of the region. Reflective fibers woven throughout carry natural luminosity into spaces that don't always get direct sun.
The color palette was matched directly to rocks from the site. Earthy reds, browns, oranges, and yellows — not as approximations, but as precise references. The kind of specificity that makes a space feel inevitable rather than designed.
For construction, high-quality natural fibers deliver the durability the project requires. The reflective elements are subtle — something guests register as warmth and light without being able to name exactly why.
